Tidewater Farm

Tidewater Farm is a tangile reminder of how close we remain to our rural, agricultural roots in Maine.  Owned for many years by a local family, the Farm has a rich history of agriculture and a diverse landscape. 

As a result, a unique educational opportunity exists to demonstrate that natural resource protection, agricultural education, and passive recreation can and do exist alongside responsible development. Open meadows, wetlands, grasslands, wooded areas, tidal salt marshes, and apple orchards co-exist on this small farm, relecting the best of the natural features that define our Maine landscape. 

Cultivating Community is leasing some growing space from Tidewater Farm for the first time in 2010 for its Fresh Start Farmers.
